About Cornish Tin
Cornish tin has a storied past, with mining once a major part of Cornwall’s economy. While active tin mines are no longer in operation, the legacy of Cornish tin endures in our jewellery. We include Cornish tin inlays on request for custom designs, giving your piece a unique historical accent that’s perfect for capturing a piece of Cornish gold heritage.
Is Gold Mined in Cornwall?
Although we’re often asked about Cornish gold, there are no longer active gold mines in Cornwall. Small traces of gold have been found in local rivers, which are sometimes panned in search of rare nuggets. However, commercial mining in Cornwall has ceased. We source our gold from ethical suppliers to maintain our commitment to responsible and sustainable practices.
