CORNISH GOLD JEWELLERY COMMISSIONS
Thinking of commissioning a special piece of jewellery or having your vintage jewellery
redesigned and remodeled? For the best in Cornish jewellery design, made in Cornwall, please contact Kernow gold with your design requirements.
The Commission Process
The first step is to have an email correspondence with our designer who will guide you through the process. There is no charge for a design consultation or initial sketched ideas.
In the initial consultation we will discuss ideas, materials and budget.
This can be by email, over the phone or in person.

We can then present you with hand drawn sketches so that you can visualise your designs.
This is followed by a detailed drawn design to scale and a quote.
Depending on the piece and the work involved a deposit of 50%-100% may be required to proceed.
Once approved we will begin to hand craft your item. The entire process takes between two and eight weeks depending on the complexity of the design.
Materials are always sourced from suppliers guaranteeing an ethical/non-conflict product.
Customers inheriting pieces with a sentimental significance can have them re-modelled. Where possible we will melt down and rework customer's existing precious metal to retain the link with the past.
Shaped wedding or eternity rings can be handmade to fit the profile of your existing rings.
Before your consultation, it is a good idea to think about your requirements. This might include:
-
- What metal you would like
-
- What stones you would like
-
- Ring size or other dimensions
-
- An approximate budget
-
- Deadline if applicable
Completion time is usually 6-8 weeks from the design approval stage.
If you are interested in commissioning a piece of work, please contact us for more information or to arrange a consultation.
